Why should I register on NE Coach – Tyne & Wear?

Registering on NE Coach – Tyne & Wear will enable you to access a 'one stop shop' for information on coaching, right across the North East.

It will enable you to:

  • Increase your links into your CSP/NGB/local authority
  • Access to employment and volunteer opportunities in coaching
  • Access information about coaching bursaries and grants that are available
  • Gain access to information about coaching in the North East

What services do you provide other than coaching opportunities?

We provide opportunities to attend training courses, continuous professional development (CPD) courses, information about coaching in Tyne & Wear as well as help and advice

Is there any age restriction for registering with NE Coach – Tyne & Wear?

Yes, due to regulations NE Coach – Tyne & Wear will only be inviting people over 16 to apply and join. There is no upper age limit for joining and we welcome people from a wide range of sports, ages and backgrounds.

NE Coach – Tyne & Wears is tan online based coaching system to handle the recruitment, employment and deployment of coaches within the partnership, and in doing so create a career path to help professionalise coaching and increase the quality of the coaching delivered in Tyne & Wear

What are the benefits available to my company from registering with NE Coach – Tyne & Wear?

The potential benefits from a recruiter (employer/placement provider) joining the agency:

  • Access to quality sports coaches
  • You will be able to provide feedback about the coach online
  • You will be informing the partnership of the types of coaches required in Tyne and & Wear so it can coordinate the right training and development for coaches
Aside from offering suitably qualified coaches, what other services do you provide?

We can provide newsletters to keep your organisations knowledge up to speed with all the latest developments in the Coaching and Sports Development fields. We can provide training opportunities for coaches already working in your organisation. We also can give help and advice of where to look for coaches, and the types of sessions that we have the highest number of coaches in and would be able to supply to you quickly.

What will it cost to register with NE Coach – Tyne & Wear?

Registration is free of charge.

What will NE Coach – Tyne & Wear require before/during/after a coaching session?

NE Coach – Tyne & Wear will require a Employer/provider to have a completed an application form on the website (including addresses and key contact information of all sites) before a coach can be placed. After the session someone who observed the session can complete an evaluation on the coach online, which will provide us with valuable feedback.

N.B. The coach will also be asked to provide an evaluation on their recruiter, which will allow a good employer to build up a portfolio of positive comments, which will attract good quality coaches to work there.
