Coach and volunteer development is a core part of the partnership's work. We recognise that as well as a coach or volunteer's role in developing and supporting athletes, they also play an important part in the professional development of sport. In this section you will find links and resources relevant to coaches of all levels - whether you're just on the path to your Level 1 or you're a seasoned instructor. North East Course Finder - Tyne & Wear Sport, County Durham Sport, Northumberland Sport and Tees Valley Sport have collaboratively developed North East Course Finder. This online resource provides details of many of the courses and workshops that are taking place across the region. From this website you can book and pay for many of the courses or follow links to the organisers' websites and booking forms.

Coaching Qualifications - Here you'll find a list of non-sport specific coaching qualifications that are on offer at a number of higher and further education institutions across Tyne & Wear.

Come on, Coach! - Is the official blog of NE Coach Tyne & Wear, the blog will act as a portal for the partnership to post information relevant to coaches of all sports as well as a place for coaches to share tips and their experiences with one another.

Safer in Sport - Safer in Sport details our work in relation to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and helping to create a safer environment for them to participate in sport and physical activity in Tyne & Wear.

UK Coaching Certificate - The UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) is a nationally recognised coach education qualification which sits at the heart of a cross sport initiative to make the UK world leaders in coaching by 2016.

Sports Coach UK - Sports Coach UK support its partners to recruit, develop and retain the coaches they need to achieve their sports participation and performance goals.

North East Club Finder - Club Finder allows users to search for clubs by locality and sport. The database contains over 1500 registrations from across the region including details about the ability levels they're capable of catering to, contact details and accreditation level, meaning you can always find the right club for you.

Minimum Standards for Deployment - sports coach UK has completed a review of the content, function and nature of minimum standards for sports coaches within the UK sports coaching industry. Based on these findings, minimum standards of deployment have been recommended for use by organisations engaged in the employment, deployment and development of coaches.

Coach/Supervision Ratios - sports coach UK and the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) have jointly provided these best practice guidelines as a direct response to a significant number of enquiries from coaches and coach employers/deployers requesting guidance on coach/supervision numbers and ratios.

HMRC Guidance - Sports coach UK in consultation with their partners are working with HMRC to provide advice on employment/deployment and self-employment issues for coaches.

Coach Management - Coach Management is the process of ensuring the efficient and effective use or coaches. Well managed coaches know their roles and responsibilities have clearly identified performance targets and are more likley to stay motivated
